Are you insured?
Yes, Lookout Paws is fully insured with Pet Business Insurance Ireland.
Do you accept all Breeds?
Yes, We accept all breeds once they are social and happy to mix with other dogs! If your pet in particularly nervous in new environments or to new people people we do recommend booking in for a one night stay to see how they get on before booking a complete stay.
Will i get daily updates on my dog while boarding?
We do not provide daily updates. You can follow our Instagram or Facebook page to follow your pets adventure online. Our motto here at Lookout Paws is "No news is good News" however if you would like to check in on them all you need to do is message us! If we note any issues such as diarrhoea, vomiting, not eating or anything out of the ordinary we will always contact owners straight away. We have a local vet so if their are any issues, we can arrange an appointment for your pet, at owners expense.
Will my dog be mixed with all different breeds and sizes of dogs?
Once suitable to be mixing, yes. We socialize all dogs that are suitable to do so regardless of size, age or breed. Socialization is always monitored.
Are pets exercised in the rain?
Yes, pets are exercised in all weather types unless they refuse!! Once the doggie's are happy to go out were happy to bring them. However, we are aware that some dogs simply like their home comforts and will point blank refuse to go out in the rain! Luckily, we have an indoor play area & indoor toiletry area that they can use instead!
Will my dog come home Clean?
A happy dog is a Dirty dog!! Being situated in the countryside & on a working equestrian yard pets may become dirty when in our care. We will always try our best to send dogs home as clean as we understand a much covered car is the last thing you want!! They may not go home pristine however they will not go home covered in muck.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated?
Yes,pets need to be up-to-date with their yearly boosters INCLUDING Kennel Cough. Please refer to our T&C's for more info on our vaccination policy.
Do you provide food during my pets stay?
No, we do not provide food. Your Pet’s own food must be supplied by you. This is to avoid any stomach upsets during your pets stay.
My dog is on medication, can they still board with you?
Yes, we are happy to administer medication. However, Medications must be in their original, labelled container with vet sticker attached or it will NOT be administrated.
Is their a chance my pet may get sick or injured while at Lookout Paws?
Every reasonable precaution is taken in our facility to avoid injury/illness when your pet is boarding with us.
However, just like a child in a playground, accidents can happen during dog play. We, Lookout Paws accept no responsibility for injury or illness resulting from time spent in our facility. If your pet is injured or we note any issues such as diarrhoea, vomiting, not eating or anything out of the ordinary during their time in our care we will make every attempt to contact the primary contact and will seek vet care from our local vets however, you as the owner will be responsible for the cost of treatment. By booking your pet into our facility you are acknowledging this.
Can I bring my dogs own bed and toys?
Of course! You can bring your whole sitting room if wanted! Lookout Paws is happy to accept all belongings if it means it will help your pet settle in. However, if you decide not to bring your pets own bed or toys, we will provide these for them!
